Comic Gary Crocker
Authentic Maine humor will be featured as part of the 30th Annual State of Maine Sportsman Show as Gary Crocker takes the stage.
The West Gardiner-based comic will be at the show for all three days of its run on April 2-4.
As Chief un-Registered Maine Guide, Gary will be making remarks and observations about Maine and her people. Said Gary, “Classic tales such as 'Gagnon the Moose Caller' and comments about our unique approach to life just south of Arctic Circle will be shared."
He added, “Occasionally Maine Trivia questions will be shared with prizes awarded on the spot to wicked smart people!” According to Gary, the best six years of his life were spent in the fifth grade, and from his Beans boots to his ball cap, he is a true, native-born “Mainah”.
In his other life, Crocker is retired as director of state and federal programs for the Maine Community College System. Holding a masters degree in adult education from the University of Southern Maine, Crocker worked at a variety of jobs in both the educational and correctional communities. He also served in the US Navy aboard the USS Boston with a tour of Vietnam duty.
When he isn’t at home with “Muthah” (wife Ellen) Crocker is often seen cruising around the state on his motorcycle, sometimes with fellow gang members former Gov. Angus King and former chief of the Maine Supreme Court Dan Wathen.
